Get a taste of what's to come during Norfolk & Norwich Open Studios 2019. Not only are these wonderful exhibitons in themselves, with diverse artwork to see and buy, but they also allow you the opportunity to plan ahead for your studio visits. There are a number of Taster Exhibitions taking place across the county and all are free to attend.
CENTRAL TASTER EXHIBITION
The annual Open Studios Central Taster Exhibition in the heart of Norwich showcases the exciting breadth of creativity throughout Norfolk, exhibiting works by artists across the county who are taking part in this year’s Norfolk & Norwich Open studios scheme. This varied exhibition offers you a taste of the vast range of work and the skill of Norfolk artists, and a chance to start planning your studio visits in May/June.
Artists will be on hand during the Exhibition to answer questions, discuss their work and techniques. Demonstrations will also take place.

SCHOOLS’ TASTER EXHIBITION
19 Norfolk schools are taking part in this year’s Norfolk & Norwich Open Studios, celebrating and championing the amazing creative talent of young people across our county. This exhibition will offer visitors the chance to sample a selection of inspired artworks from students of all ages.
The Anteros Arts Foundation is a charity for education and the promotion of the arts in Norfolk.

NORTH NORFOLK, BROADLAND & GREAT YARMOUTH TASTER EXHIBITION
The Old Workshop Gallery situated in a beautiful Norfolk village is a charming and relaxed space to explore the diversity of work by artists opening their studios. This Taster runs prior to and throughout the Open Studios period giving visitors a way to extend their Open Studios experience and plan studio visits. Open this year to artists from Broadland and Gt. Yarmouth as well as North Norfolk.
DIRECTIONS: The Old Workshop Gallery situated in the conjoined villages of Corpusty and Saxthorpe, take Corpusty or Saxthorpe turning off the B1149 Holt/Norwich Road, take turning at village shop, continue past pub for 200 yards, gallery is on left opposite the swings.

WEST NORFOLK TASTER EXHIBITION
A diverse group of twenty-five talented artists from west Norfolk come together for this taster exhibition at the all-new West Acre Gallery. Enhance your open studios experience with this preview exhibition nestled in the ruins of a 900-year-old priory, and discover something truly unique in the gift shop, with locally made crafts and art inspired gifts, cards and prints made with love by local artists and craftspeople.
DIRECTIONS: From the A47 take Narford Road to River Road. On the corner of River Road and Sandy Lane enter Abbey Farm and follow the signs to West Acre Gallery.

GROUP EXHIBITION, NORWICH THEATRE ROYAL
The exhibition space at Norwich Theatre Royal in the centre of Norwich has been successfully exhibiting and selling 2D artwork for professional East Anglian artists for the past 12 years since the Theatre’s major refurbishment.
This is the second year that artists taking part in Norfolk & Norwich Open Studios have been invited to submit new and recent 2-dimensional works to exhibit. Work is selected and curated by Sarah Cannell,
Supported by Targetfellow Estates and Norwich Theatre Royal.

This year Norfolk Libraries and Open Studios’ artists have come together to hold a number of exhibitions across the county, celebrating the work of artists in each area. The Breckland Taster Exhibition will have work from some of the Open Studios Breckland artists on display.
